Get the Best Auto Loan for a New Car

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder Banks and other lending institutions are always looking to lend money to
folks who are purchasing a new car; the key is finding the lender with the
lowest interest rate and the best terms. A low interest rate doesnt look quite
so attractive if there are prepayment penalties and other fees tacked onto the
loan. This article offers some tips on getting the best new car auto loan:

Shop Around
Some people rely on their bank or credit union for financing, while others trust
the car dealership to secure a loan. Neither of these are necessarily bad ideas.
Using a familiar bank can make a transaction feel more comfortable and payments
can be streamlined since the lender already has access to deposit accounts.
Dealerships likewise are viable options for financing, as they usually have more
than one lender they deal with directly and can shop around for several
acceptances at once. A problem occurs, however, when a loan applicant doesnt
bother to research current interest rates and simply accepts whatever they are
offered by the bank or dealership without question.

Do Your Research
Before applying for a new auto loan, make sure to check online or in newspapers
to get an idea of what the current interest rate trends are. If a better
interest rate can be secured by going with an unfamiliar lender, then thats
fine, but youll need to make sure its a reputable lender and that the loan
doesnt include all sorts of hidden fees. Things to look out for include a
prepayment penalty, absurdly high late fees, and mandatory additional products
tacked onto the loan such as disability insurance or an extended warranty. Even
if this sort of loan has a great interest rate, its still not worth it for all
the hassles the extras will inevitably cause.

As long as an applicant doesnt have horrendous credit they should be able to
find a decent auto loan for a new car. Do some investigating to find the best
rate with no hidden fees; it will save you money and alleviate future
complications. To see a list of recommended lenders for

Business Cards - Don’t Be Shy, Your Business Depends On It!

Monday, October 29th, 2007

By Frank Owen There are thousands of business cards on the market. Millions and billions even. What you need is a business card that creates value for your customer and sets you apart from the crowd. Your business card has to shout without being over the top or considered unprofessional. How do you do that? You have to provide the right imagery and the right word choices. Word choices are vital when creating a business card. A customer wants to look at a business card that tells them what they need and why they need it. They don’t simply need to know you provide a service. They need to know why your service is over the top. They also need you to convince them to come see you. The Business Card Call To Action The simplest way to attract attention is to place a call to action on your business card. Tell your customers to present the card for a discount, or to call (insert your name) and they’ll get X for free. Such offers not only encourage someone to pick up the phone but they let a customer know that their efforts will be rewarded. Your business card should also contain factual and helpful information. Never contain information or promises on a business card you can’t fulfill. These will ultimately come back to haunt you and hurt you in the end. Customers treasure honestly and value above all else when engaging in business interactions. Garage Sales — The Pros and Cons You Should Consider

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

By Peter Mitchell Its easy to understand why so many people get addicted to weekly garage sales, there is nothing better than the thrill of rummaging through other peoples cast offs or pre-loved possessions. However there are some important matters that should be considered before you decide to embark on having your own garage or car boot sale. Firstly, remember why youre having your garage sale in the first place. You simply shouldnt expect to get back on an item what was paid for it! For goodness sake the object of the exercise is to clear the decks, not turn prospective buyers away with exorbitant prices. It amazes me, time and time again, I see people asking store prices, when the reality is if buyers wanted to pay store prices, they would go to a store. Without a doubt they will be packing most of it away at the end of the day. The upside to having a garage sale first and foremost is the convenience. I mean the stuff is already there at home, right? You dont have to bundle it up and drive somewhere to sit in a queue of cars at some ungodly hour, waiting to be let into a market or car boot sale. On the other hand, a major downside to having a garage sale can be the number of people who actually attend, as opposed to the number of people who attend a market and walk past your stall. At some markets, that can literally number into the thousands, whereas at a garage sale you can expect (at best) anywhere between fifty, maybe a hundred people to stroll through your gate. You will also need to be up with the sparrows to get all the items youre selling ready and priced. You will need to contend with the inevitable early birds who just happen to be on their way to work and saw the activity, sign or balloons. Its likely these people are dealers who do the rounds well before the advertised time, in the hope of snapping up the bargains. They know all the tricks. And then come 2pm, the show is over and its time to pack up what didnt sell. Another possible disadvantage to having a garage sale is that you can never be quite sure the people attending your garage sale arent checking out your house too! Consider how easy it would be for a potential burglar to determine just how secure (or not) your property is. A frightening thought. So there you have it. Its not exactly rocket science; it simply boils down to individual preference. Some people prefer garage sales to the hustle and bustle of a market stall or car boot sale. Whatever the case, its important to remember the KISS rule Keep it simple stupid! Its always nice to make some extra cash, but remember to keep it simple and have fun on the day! Happy selling! The Challenge of Families

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

By Margaret Paul, Ph.D. Angie grew up in a family where she was the caretaker. The oldest of four, Angie was the only member of her family capable of deep caring, empathy and compassion. As a result, she was always attempting to protect her brother and sisters from her fathers physical and emotional abuse. Even her mother learned to turn to her for help and protection. Because everyone learned to rely on Angie, when things didnt turn out the way they wanted, Angie was the one they blamed. Angie became an invisible child. Because of her acute sensitivity to others feelings and needs, her feelings and needs went unnoticed. Everyone in her family wanted to take from her, but no one wanted to give to her. Angie was not a happy child. As an adult, Angie did much inner healing work. She discovered that she had been ignoring her own feelings and needs while caretaking others. As she learned to take loving care of herself and let go of taking responsibility for everyone elses feelings and needs, her family became furious with her. How dare she take care of herself instead of them! The blame that Angie had always experienced from her family intensified. Nothing Angie said had any impact on her familys behavior toward her. They refused to support her in taking care of herself. They just wanted her back in the old system. Angie finally decided that, although she loved her family, she needed to disengage from them. She realized that it was not loving to herself to allow her family to continue to treat her badly. She was unwilling to continue the old family system, and she realized that she had no control over how her family treated her. Angie broke almost all communication with her family for three years. Of course, this caused her parents and siblings to blame her even more. During the few times that Angie communicated with her mother, the hostility was extreme. What is the matter with you? Have you gone nuts? How can you abandon your family? You are being so selfish! Dont you care about us? Angie knew that it was useless to try to explain. Her mother didnt really want to know the answers to these questions she just wanted to have control over Angie. It took three years before anyone in her family started to treat Angie with any sense of respect. It took three years before they accepted that they could no longer treat her badly if they wanted a relationship with her. Presently, Angie has a much better relationship with her family. While they will never have the deep caring and compassion for her that she has for them, they no longer expect her to take responsibility for their feelings and needs, and they no longer blame her for the problems that arise. The question of disengaging from ones family, or from a particular member of the family, often comes up in my counseling work with individuals and couples. Many people have been taught that it is wrong to pull away from ones family that one should keep the family unit intact at all costs. Many people have been taught that it is loving to sacrifice themselves for their family, and selfish to take care of themselves. The problem with these beliefs is that it gives a person, who is being blamed and disrespected by their family, no way out. Many of the people I work with, who have problems with their families, know that they would never allow a stranger to treat them the way their family treats them. Yet they feel afraid if they think about speaking up for themselves, and guilty if they think about disengaging from an emotionally abusive family relationship. Sometimes the most loving act, both for oneself and for others, is to disengage from an abusive relationship. It is not loving to ourselves to allow ourselves to be treated disrespectfully, and it is not loving to others to allow them to treat us disrespectfully. Angies whole family is much better off today than before she disengaged, even though they were furious at her for it. Angie was actually being very loving to them by expecting them to treat her with caring and respect. About The Author

Rosemary

Friday, October 26th, 2007

By Briscoe White Although I have not given up my love affair with Sweet Basil, my attentions have recently turned to anther rosemary. Rosmarinus officinalis, a member of the mint family, is a wonderful culinary herb with an impressive background. This herb has had an important role in both legend and religion. Ancient Greeks used rosemary to adorn virgins before sacrificing them. The Romans believed it helped memory, and adorned the herb while studying. The herb supposedly turned from white to blue when Mary hung her cloak on it while fleeing Herods soldiers and rosemary was always included in monastery gardens of Europe. Rosemary is referred to in literature as a symbol of remembrance and love and often used in wedding ceremonies. It is said that if there is rosemary in the garden, there will be a strong woman in the house! Used both as a culinary and medicinal herb, rosemary was believed to cure a host of maladies: depression, headaches, stomach ailments and was said to repel the Black Plague. The name Rosemary is based on Latin words meaning dew of the sea and the plant is native to the rocky Mediterranean region. It has small light-blue flowers and narrow, pine-needle-like evergreen leaves that have a strong sweet piney scent and add a distinctive flavor to foods. Rosemary is a wonderful perennial for permanent landscape uses in areas where winters are mild enough making fine ground covers or handsome hedges. It does best in full sun with well-drained soil. Growth can be controlled by frequent pinching. I have planted both Arp and Hardy Hill in our garden and have been delighted with the results. Both varieties have weathered three winters (Zone 7) with a prevailing winter wind relentlessly blowing, and each spring have brought the promise of renewed vigor. These upright, rigid growers with their intensely fragrant branches have been the backbone of many summer flower arrangements. They out-last their flower-cousins and their distinctive scent is an added bonus. In addition to use in arranging, rosemary is a must in any kitchen. Roast lamb is incomplete without rosemary! In 1985, Briscoe White opened The Growers Exchange in an abandoned Texaco station on a busy urban street corner in Richmond, Virginia. The facility has grown over the years, and is now 5 distinct growing environments with 5 acres under cover. Briscoe has over 25 years of gardening experience. Providing Bird Houses for Feathered Friends

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

By James Hunt Many people enjoy animals of avian nature. Theres something about the natural ability to fly that captures the human imagination. Birds come in many colors, arrayed in natures beautiful, and sometimes extravagant, plumage. Whether you want to provide bird houses for non-domestic birds, or whether you provide bird cages for the accommodation of birds in your home, there are many ways to provide a comfortable place for birds to live or visit. Different varieties of bird prefer different types of bird houses. Deciding what type of house to place in your yard can impact which species of bird you attract to your backyard. There are plenty of books on the subject of birds, and bird houses. These books can help you understand what certain birds look for in the way of a resting place. Most hobby and craft stores provide kits and patterns to allow those inclined to working with their hands to build their own bird houses. Not only can this be a fun solo activity, but it can also provide a couple of hours of family togetherness. For those who prefer to have birds in the home, there are many types of bird cages available for purchase. When choosing a bird cage, it is important to ensure that your bird will have enough room. Many companies manufacture luxury bird cages for pampered birds. While a luxury cage isnt necessary, there are a few things a good bird cage should have to allow maximum comfort for the pet. Perches located at various heights inside the cage are necessary, as are a few colorful toys. A bell can also add an element of amusement for the bird. Birds are beautiful creatures. It can be a very enjoyable experience to observe them, and play with them. Bird houses in the backyard can attract many different species to right outside your window, and you can make your feathered pet more comfortable in a nice bird cage. James Hunt has spent 15 years as a professional writer and researcher covering stories that cover a whole spectrum of interest.

It’s Not Procrastination, It’s Fear of Rejection (Get Past the Fear and Get Marketing)

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

By Fabienne Fredrickson Have you ever been stopped in your marketing tracks because of procrastination, and didnt know where it was coming from? This happened a few times with some of my private clients this week, and we noticed that every time it wasnt really procrastination, it was a fear of some sort that was holding them back. Perhaps youve experienced it too? The fear of reaching out to people, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of not doing something right, and the kicker, fear of REJECTION? I dont think I know anyone whos not experienced some form of fear of rejection when marketing themselves. I think its inherent in many of us. Problem is, it holds us back from doing what it takes to get clients. And its got to stop. Fear of rejection keeps people from marketing, from networking, from asking for the sale, reaching out, from public speaking, from asking for referrals, and from collaborating with strategic alliances. Youve heard me say this a thousand times: if you dont market today, you wont have clients in six months. So, understanding that theres some sort of fear stopping you, what do you do about it? Ive done a lot of research on this over the years. Ive read books, special reports and anything that was available on the subject. Problem is that most people just GLOSS OVER what you should do. The experts talk about changing your mindset, thinking positively, and all that good stuff. OK, but thats not practical enough for me. I wanted to know EXACTLY what to do to eliminate the fears and limiting beliefs that have held me back in the past and that I continually see my clients struggling with. Ive discovered theres more to getting clients than just the OUTER game of Client Attraction (marketing). Theres also an INNER game of Client Attraction (your mindset and beliefs) and if you dont deal with the inner part, then youll keep doing the same things (and making the same money) youve been making for years to come. I dont know about you, but I prefer to continue to grow and make more. So, I went on an internal search for what the answer was, and I found it. Ive worked (and continue to work) on my personal growth and development, and Ive broken it down into a series of steps that, when done in sequence, help eliminate the limiting beliefs and fears that hold us back from marketing (and shining, personally) in a big way. Heres what you do: Establish the root fear or limiting belief thats holding you back from marketing. (Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of doing it wrong, fear of asking for what you want, fear of saying no to someone, etc.) Lets pick fear of rejection, just for arguments sake, since its such a biggie. Think back to your childhood. What is the earliest memory you have of being rejected? Write it down. (Im serious, dont just read this assignment, write it down. Thats how you get results.) If you get stuck, then go back to what the original thought that popped up when you read the assignment. Thats usually the big one that needs to be addressed first, even if you dont think it is. Write down ALL the events in life in which you can remember feeling rejected (your parents, kids in grade school, high school, the dating years, cheerleading or sports tryouts, the working world, and of course, since being self-employed). Now, think about what MEANING you created about yourself as a result of each of those incidents. (Im not good enough, Im dumb, Ill never be good at marketing, When I reach out, I get rejected, Im not cut out to make a lot of money, etc. Really spend some time on this, because thats where the healing begins. Be a hard grader. Then, make a separate list of how these MEANINGS you created have stopped you in life. Did you stop reaching out? Did you stop taking chances? Did you retreat into a hole? Did you hold back from taking advantage of opportunities that could have advanced you? Write them all down. Now, go back to the list of meanings you created and ask yourself, What if what I THINK happened wasnt actually the case? Heres what I mean: If you were rejected by your crush in high school after telling this person you liked them, imagine other scenarios other than Im unattractive or Im not lovable. Could they have secretly been dating someone else? Could they have been shy and not known what to say? Could they even have been interested in the opposite sex? Write it ALL down. This is a list of ALTERNATIVE reasons why they wouldnt have done the right thing by you, rather than thinking you were unattractive or unlovable. Now, look at this list and pick one, because Ill guarantee you, what you THINK happened is probably not what happened. Each person has their own writing on the wall and even if they said or did something unacceptable, we dont REALLY know what that reason was (we might never know what was going on for them at that time). Reevaluate the limiting belief or your fear. Is it REALLY true that you were rejected? Could there have been another reason for what happened? Is it really WORTH your still being affected by this and having lost out on opportunities your whole life because of what one (dumb) person said or did? Decide to select the ALTERNATIVE reason for what happened and move past the fear. You deserve to not be stuck in your tracks any more. You deserve to be free from what others said or did to you in the past. You deserve to be successful and thats what I want for you. If you cant seem to let the fear go, then just FEEL the fear, and do what it takes anyway. Youve heard the saying: Successful people feel the fear too, and they do what it takes anyway. Thats been my experience. When I feel myself getting stopped, I just push through and get things done. Its never as bad as what I feared. Best of all, every time you push through a fear that stops you, you exercise that muscle. After a while, limiting fears or beliefs dont have a chance against you. Your Client Attraction Assignment: Make a point to do the exercise above. Take an afternoon or an hour each day, and really work through whats stopping you. It can seem scary at first, but I assure you, when you actually do it, it becomes easy. And it feels so FREEING at the end. Youll notice that you will start DOING more than before, taking advantage of opportunities, and getting better results in marketing. That immediately equals more paying clients, more results, and in my experience, financial freedom and being able to live the life you really want. I once read that the view from the other side of fear is success. Are you game? 2006 Client Attraction LLC. All Rights Reserved. Dieting Basics – Weight Loss for Beginners

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

By Jared Wash The word diet has become defined as a mean for eliminating or limiting a certain foods sources in conventional diets today. The real definition simplified by my own words of diet is, a prescribed selection of foods. I believe strongly that this simple definition says everything about what a diet is unlike conventional diets have defined it. Dieting is not starvation, tormenting, and in other words, a living hell! It can be as 1, 2, and 3.
As most people follow conventional diets, it is proven only 5% will actually lose weight and keep it off. But why only 5% succeed and other 95% fail? They did not follow these three steps. 1. Setting goals and methods of action. Setting goals are not only for motivation but to give dieters a sense of direction on what they want to achieve. Some excellent question they should ask themselves and write on their goals sheet is what you want to accomplish, when do you want to reach these goals, how are you going to accomplish these goals, and why are they important? Other question they should write down is why would they give up, what dont you like about yourself, and when you reach your goals what we be different? I recommend this to everyone that ask me to help them with some tips on how to stay motivated and the number one tips that does the best is taking pictures of yourself and putting them where you will see them every day. No this is not a joke as a before and after picture are proven to keep people motivated and reaching for their goals. In a nutshell, keep your goals sheet with your answers right by your pictures where you will see them every day to help keep you reaching for your goals. 2. Gain the knowledge needed. Researching about healthy eating, weight loss, and exercise can become a struggle and risky with the health industry pointing you towards unnecessary weight loss supplement, diets, and exercise equipment. Searching now for several years I have become fond of government site that give out a lot of free information, articles, and studys that are trustworthy and I like to say, the real thing. I have made several weight loss websites available to you on my website for easy access to some of the best information online without having to research. Taking the time to learn about the basics of nutrition, exercise, and healthier living is the key towards success. One of the best sources I believe and back up 100% is by Tom Venuto, Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. This e-book has become the best selling weight loss book online as its results speak for itself. If you are interested in this book you can review it at the link below as I believe you should make decisions when you learn the truth for yourself instead of someone else telling you. I guarantee it is an excellent book. 3. Construct a exercise, eating, and daily planner. When creating your exercise, eating, and daily planner you need to take several elements and into account. Some things you have to incorporate into your daily planner is the amount of time and money you have to delegate to your goals, fitness level, and schedule. So lets recall what the steps just where. You wrote out your goals and what you want to achieve in how much time, with your questions and answers, and dont forget about your before and after pictures where you will see them every day. Next, you seek the knowledge to take action correctly and to get maximum results with as less amount of time and money spent. Last, you created a daily planner that consist of your exercise and nutrition schedules and planners to keep track of what needs to be done to accomplish your desired results.
These three steps have been used over and over again with excellent results and I recommend you try it as well. Thank you for taking the time to educate yourself on dieting and we hope you take advantage of my latest weight loss news, diets, and inspiration. Good Luck and God Bless! Who were the Essenes?

Friday, October 19th, 2007

By Jeffery S. Miller An early Jewish ascetic sect around 350 A.D. known as the Essenes, took many of their ideas from early gnosticism. The Essenes provoked conflicts with the Biblical Pharisees and the Sadducees. They even argued that the established Hebrew lunar year was inaccurate. They finally were forced out of Jerusalem, and they established a monastery at Qumran. The Essenes were divided into two parts-the married, as well as the unmarried. All of the Essenes property were communal. Alot of their problems arose because of their communal lifestyle. The Essenes educated their youth with many popular teachings of the day. They also taught the philosophy of the greek, Pythagoras. The greek translation for the word essene is essaios, which means secret or mystic. The Essenes believed that Jesus came from their educational system. It is disputed whether Jesus’ parents, Joseph and Mary belonged to this group. Many researchers believe that the Essenes were among the better educated class of the Jewish people of that time. Not much was known of the group until 1947, the year of the discovery of the Red Sea Scrolls. As the Roman armies advanced during the Jewish revolt of 70 A.D., the Essenes fled Qumran after hiding their texts in earth jars in nearby caves. I don’t know if Jesus was an Essene, but the group did exist. The Essene findings were considered heritical by the church. No matter what a person chooses to believe, one should always seek the truth. Jeffery S. Miller is the author of the controversial title, Higgins: An American Story.
